Two parcels of ore from the surface stockpiles were processed through the CNPL ore sorter at Kambalda. The first 500 tonnes of mainly massive sulphides upgraded sufficiently for it to meet the BHPB off take agreement specifications. The second parcel of mainly disseminated mineralisation did not upgrade and was not treated through the BHPB concentrator. Work to asses the mineralogy of the deposit at depth has commenced and will culminate in a financial assessment toward the end of 2006 calendar year.

Announced the results from the recently completed resource confirmation drilling program. These holes were designed to provide confirmation of the resource model beneath the expected limits of the planned open pit Highlights from the drilling include hole WDD095 which intersected 20.85 m grading 4.79% Ni (from 249.85 m) and hole WDD091 which intersected 3.42 m grading 2.59% Ni (from 174.73 m). This drilling has confirmed the resource model at depth beneath the expected limits of the planned open pit. Other aspects of the due diligence program are well advanced, with underground mining studies and an environmental review of the project due for completion in the next two weeks.
