March 31, 2008 The preliminary results of the coke test conducted on the drum sample was received. The results confirm that Ashford is a coking coal that would fit in the premium end of the metallurgical coal market but they also demonstrate variability between samples. Quality variability is caused by variations in ash chemistry. Further work on the variability in ash composition may be required.
