September 30, 1999 The Phase II report was received. Phase I reports established that samples contained 82.8% hydromagnesite, 15.4% magnesite, 1.3% bischofite, and 0.4% goethite. The Phase II study confirmed the material as a good source of calcined magnesia (lightly-burned and hard burned).
June 30, 1999 Phase II of the hydromagnesite testing program was under way, including further sintering and calcination studies.
