Property NewsJune 10, 2009 Bayswater Uranium released an update where a 1,193 m diamond drilling program, consisting of two holes, was carried out in late 2008 to evaluate two of these anomalies. These holes encountered encouraging widespread alteration and sulphide mineralization in favourable felsic volcanic rocks, including occasional thin layers of massive pyrite and wide zones of quartz-pyrite stringers, both with associated lead-zinc mineralization in a close spatial relationship with geophysical targets, but failed to intersect significant (i.e. >20m) thick massive base metal sulphide zones. The best intercept was found in an inclined drill hole (KIL-1) in the Kilmacco zone which assayed 9.5% Zinc and 3.3% lead over 1.8 m. September 1, 2006 Gradient array induced polarization was completed to test the central and lateral zones of the massive sulphide base metal system over a strike length of seven kilometres and to depths of up to 900 metres. Additional IP surveying at 200-metre line intervals was completed over a one-kilometre potential strike extension to the northeast of the Kilmacco zinc-lead zone in East Avoca where previous drilling intersected several high-grade intersections. October 25, 2002 Strongbow Resources has negotiated a private placement of 7,457,627 units at the price of CAD0.1475 per unit, each unit consisting of one common share and 2/7 of one common share purchase warrant, with one whole warrant exercisable for an additional share, generating proceeds of CAD1.1 million. Company shares currently trade at 15 cents, with 20.1 million shares currently issued and outstanding. Strongbow plans to use the proceeds of the financing to fund obligations under its proposed option with Nunavut Tunngavik Inc in respect of Inuit owned lands in Kitikmeot, exploration on its other Canadian and Irish properties and for general working capital. In August, Strongbow entered into a memorandum of understanding with Nunavut Tunngavik to explore for minerals on a minimum of 566,000 ha of prospective Inuit-owned lands in the Kitikmeot region of Nunavut. Strongbow has agreed to make fee payments and incur exploration expenditures on the properties totaling approximately CAD2 million before the end of December 2003, and, upon completion of such work, will earn a 100% in the properties.
