July 2, 2003 European Goldfields has announced significant gold intercepts in drilling and channel sampling from its Craciunesti project in Romania where an engineering scoping study underway. CRSD-022 intersected 10 m grading 5.34 g/t gold and 3 g/t silver, from a drill depth of 144 m; CRSD-029 intersected 4 m grading 7.06 g/t gold and 73 g/t silver, from a drill depth of 24 m; underground channel sampling includes 10 m grading 3.53 g/t gold and 3 g/t silver at a depth of 30 m below surface, and 8 m grading 15.87 g/t gold and 7 g/t silver at a depth of 175 m below surface; surface channel sampling includes 13 m grading 2.12 g/t gold and 4 g/t silver veins and breccia shown to extend from surface to over 250 m depth and over a minimum strike length of 600 m.
