The results of the broad-spaced (800m line spacing) soil geochemistry program covering a strike length of 9km of the western BIF belt have highlighted a zone of gold in soil anomalies about 4.9km long (at the 20 ppb level and above) which overlay an upland area of BIFs similar to the Passendro area. Infill and extension to the north of this soil geochemical program is planned.

Through regional exploration, AXMIN has developed a pipeline of 20 new drilling targets along the greenstone belt with a total combined strike length of more than 22 kilometres (anomaly threshold of 100 parts per billion Au). Of these, 17 (17.5 kilometres of combined strike length) occur within the Ndassima, Ao and Mbourou blocks and are within haulage distance of less than 20 km from Passendro. To date, 35 reverse circulation drill holes, totalling 1,400 metres, and five core holes, totalling 550 metres, have been completed on six of the prospects that lie in the Ndassima block. Results will be announced when assays are received and interpreted. Drilling will continue on these and other targets throughout 2006. About 215 square kilometres of new reconnaissance soil sampling, in addition to follow-up soil sampling was completed across four blocks.
