Tanami Gold NL announced further assay results from the drilling program at Sandpiper deposit within Bald Hill open pit mining operations, located in Western Australia. Highlights include hole SPDD14 which intersected 11.0 m of 4.9 g/t gold from 227.5, including 0.8 m of 34.2 g/t gold from 237.8 m. The drilling program consisted of 14 diamond drill holes totaling 4,409 m have now defined the Sandpiper mineralisation to over 400 m down plunge from the base of the open pit.
Tanami Gold announced further assay results from surface exploration and resource drilling at its Bald Hill Operations, the satellite mining centre located 35km north of its Coyote Gold Operations in Western Australia. Highlights include hole SPDD2 intersecting 15.1 meters grading 6.1 g/t gold including 8.8 meters grading 9.6 g/t gold. The new results have reinforced the potential to define significant additional gold resources beneath the operating Sandpiper open pit.
All remaining Bald Hill ore was treated along with re-sample ore from underground. The study to determine the economic potential into re-commencing open pit operations is expected to be completed in the December 2008 Quarter.
