Latest Information March 24, 2005 Sterling Mining has reported silver production at the Baroness tailings project in Zacatecas, Mexico, is underway. The company had announced in November 2004, delays in the construction that have since been resolved. The construction of 18 concrete processing vats at the Baroness Project was completed, and commissioning of the plant has begun. The initial processing cycles are forecast at 13 days, though the cycles from vat to vat can vary according to the tailings volume and porosity, and tailings are being drawn to provide continuous supply. The facility produces a precipitate, accumulated and processed into Dore bars, that will be stockpiled and, beginning in April, shipped weekly to local smelters.
