Property NewsSeptember 30, 2003 A 726 metre diamond drill program was completed on the Baroya and Kenieba concessions, which collectively share a 12.5 km. border with the Tabakoto-Segala concessions of Nevsun Resources. Three zones were tested and significant results were intersected in all three zones. In the property, DDH BY-01 intersected 15.0 m of 0.97 g/t gold in the Segala Extension zone, and BY-02 intersected 4.0 m of 1.92 g/t gold in the Baroya Nord zone. July 31, 2003 A 5-hole drill program was completed with results reported. Hole BY-01 intersected the Segala Extension, Holes BY-02 and –03 targeted the Baroya Nord zone,
and Holes KN-01 and –02 were located to test the Zambaye 1 dyke. Selected highlights include: Hole BY-01 intersected 15.0 m (from 67.0 to 82.0m) of 0.97 g/t Au including 1.0 m (from 69.0 to 70.0 m) 4.97 g/t Au. May 31, 2003 Plans to test 3 targets with 4 holes in the Baroya concession. The first target, the Segala Extension Zone, consists of zones of quartz veining with gold mineralization. Extensive orpaillage, or the digging of pits by hand miners to recover gold, has taken place in this area. The area of orpaillage has been mapped. It consists of two 10 to 15 metre wide zones oriented in a northwesterly direction, 200 metres apart. Extending between these two zones are two bands of orpaillage that are oriented in an east west direction and range from 15 to 40 metres wide. The second target is the Baroya Central zone where one hole will be drilled. The immediate goal is to test a zone of quartz veining below a trench that assayed 1.16 g/t gold over 6.0 m. Two holes will be drilled into the Baroya Nord zone. The two immediate targets, 300 metre apart, are a pit with, from the top, 1.8 m of 1.37 g/t gold, 2.0 m of 0.03 g/t gold and 3.2 m of 46.0 g/t gold and a trench with 6.0 m of 4.93 g/t gold. The objective of these holes will be not only to test the known mineralized zones but also to determine how many more mineralized quartz veins are in these systems and the amount of gold within them and between them.
