Reported that thirty five RC holes, 07MF01-35 for 1,881m were drilled at the Mt Fitch Copper resource. The drilling is part of an infill drilling program testing oxide Cu-Co-Ni mineralisation over an 800m strikelength on 50m sections. Highlights from the first 11 holes include 07MFC10 with 9m from the surface at 1.28% Cu, 012% Co and 0.156% Ni and 07MFC02 with 7m at 0.32% Cu, 0.230% Co, and 0.064% Ni from 39m.

A joint venture for Compass Resources with a big Chinese non-ferrous metal producer is awaiting dotting of the "I's" and "T's" and their related Chinese hieroglyphics, reports Mineweb. Durable Northern Territory explorer, Compass Resources NL, which has had start-stop-start mining operations at its Browns base metals project in the Batchelor region 80 kilometres south of Darwin, has advanced the Browns Oxide project with Hunan NonFerrous Metals Corporation Ltd.
