A 45 line km IP (Induced Polarisation) survey was commissioned at Roadside after
geological mapping had revealed strong and complexly zoned quartz-calcite and clay alteration associated with veining and brecciation over an area greater than 5 sq km. Asan initial response to the mapping, two short lines of shallow RC holes were drilled across the strongest alteration zone apparent at surface. Nine holes for 1,053m
intersected quartz zones tens of metres in magnitude in altered granite but these were lacking in sulphide and failed to yield any significant precious or base metal values. Elsewhere at Beyinhar North, three RC drillholes for 300m at Fiddlers Rise failed to encounter significant mineralisation despite strong quartz development. The source of the surface Au-in-soil anomalism has not yet been determined.
