Gossan Resources has been advised by its joint venture partner, Marathon PGM Corporation of the completion of a 6 hole, 549 metre drill program on the Coppermine Zone located at the western end of the Bird River Project in southeast Manitoba, Canada. Lenses of sulphides were intersected in 5 holes with assay results include hole MC-09-06 returning 8 m of 0.87 g/t palladium, 0.50 g/t platinum, 0.16 g/t gold, 0.29% copper and 0.19% nickel.
Provided additional assay results from the first phase of drilling at the Ore Fault and Page Zones. 2009 drilling at the Page Zone was completed in order to increase grade, tonnage and improve the resource classifications
Highlights:
- 2.8 m intersection of Ni-Cu-PGM mineralization grading 2.66 % Ni, 2.10 % Cu, 15.25 g/t Ag and 2.03 g/t PGM + Au in a sulphide lens at the Page Zone within hole MP-09-17
- 2.5 m intersection of Cu-Zn-Ag mineralization grading 2.23 % Zn, 0.74 % Cu and 50.47 g/t Ag in a sulphide lens at the Ore Fault Zone within hole MF-09-27
- On-section continuity mineralization established at Ore Fault over strike length of 350 m
February 27, 2009
Reported the initial assay results from the first phase of drilling at the Ore Fault Zone. Highlights:
- 12.3 m intersection of Ni-Cu-PGM mineralization grading 0.33 % Ni, 0.13 % Cu, and 0.73 g/t PGM and Au in a sulphide lens within hole MF0926
- 5.0 m intersection of Cu-Zn-Ag mineralization grading 3.79 % Zn, 0.56% Cu and 13.73 g/t Ag in a sulphide lens within hole MP0926
