In 2009, on Bismark while total tons milled decreased a slight 1.2%, metal contents of silver, lead and zinc rose considerably in the year, by 18.1%, 72.0% and 18.8%, respectively. This was due to more selective mining of higher ore grades, and optimization at the beneficiation plant resulting from better instrumentation and the implementation of expert systems. The USD$1.8 million construction of a new pumping station was completed; it will allow exploration and mining at greater depths of the mine. The company conducted 11,090 meters of diamond drilling. Although reserves declined compared to the previous year, it is important to note that development at areas of influence around the mine show good potential. 2009 Capex: US$3.8 million and reserves decreased by 3.0%.
During 2008 in Bismark: the installation of a tailings thickener and a zinc filter was completed, several projects were developed to improve efficiency in the consumption of fresh water and electricity, mineral reserves increased.
During the 2005 year, the company completed 70.0% of construction on a new water extraction station, and deepened the shaft by a further 50 meters.
