9 pits were dug and sampled at the bottom along a zone of quartz veins mineralized with gold, which has so far been traced for 40 m. Assays from these 9 pits averaged 17.99 g/t gold. The highest assay was 77.20 g/t gold. These pits occur within a strip of soil sampling 400 metres wide, which defined a 1500 m long area of soil anomalous in gold with values ranging from 22 to 490 parts per billion gold.
In 2002, a program was completed where previously a very high-grade zone was partly mapped. This zone with values up to 77.2 g/t gold was traced for only 40 metres, but the results of soil sampling indicate the possibility of a much greater length.
