Latest Information August 31, 2008 A nine hole, 1,123 meter drill program was completed. The drilling targeted a combination of IP anomalies, soil geochem anomalies and the historic showings where earlier drilling had intersected interesting values. Three holes targeting the eastern part of the property failed to intersect any significant values. Of the remaining six holes, five tested the main showing area over an effective 100 m strike length. The best results include 11.1 m of 1.10 g/t Au from 85.7 m in hole BS08-05 and 4.9 m of 1.98 g/t Au from 46.7 m in hole BS08-05. May 6, 2008 A 1,100-metre drill program in nine to 11 holes was to commence in mid-July, 2008. The current program of drilling and trenching is designed to test for extensions of the mineralized zones associated with silicified and brecciated chert as intersected in the few holes drilled in the mid-1980s by the previous operator. In summer 2007, geological mapping, soil geochemical surveys, Induced Polarization and magnetometer surveys were conducted. In 2006, line cutting was completed, but but due to weather conditions soil sampling was deferred to 2007, along with additional line cutting, soil sampling and an Induced Polarization survey to establish drill targets. |
