Recent, modern exploration consisting of regional geological (regolith) mapping, soil geochemistry, ground (IP) and airborne (magnetic) geophysics and drilling (RAB, RC and diamond) have determined that gold mineralisation is associated with silica-pyrite alteration, quartz veinlets and stringers (+/-pyrite) and/or minor chalcopyrite, and that the veins were randomly orientated, suggestive of a stockwork or disseminated style of mineralisation. In addition, numerous targets have been outlined that warrant further exploration to test their potential.

The 2nd phase of RAB drilling outlined 3 specific zones of mineralization along with other narrow zones of mineralization. The 3 zones are Katabaro, Simba and Askhari. Drilling confirmed the presence of a system containing significant grades and widths of mineralization the north-western half of a 3.3 km long gold-in-soil anomaly outlined in 1998.

Oromonde reported that the 2nd phase of RAB drilling on the Bukoli gold property in Tanzania outlined 3 specific zones of mineralization (Katabaro, Simba and Askhari) along with other narrow zones of mineralization. Drilling confirmed the presence of a system containing significant grades and widths of mineralization the north-western half of a 3.3 km long gold-in-soil anomaly outlined in 1998. The best drill results of the program were from the Kataboro zone which returned 3.51 g/t gold over a 5 m section from a depth of 4 m, although this included a 1 m section from which no sample was recovered.
