Property NewsAugust 8, 2008 Berkeley Resources announced an initial inferred resource estimate of 9.23 million pounds of U3O8 for the Gambuta uranium deposit in the Cáceres Province of Spain, 165 km west-southwest of Madrid. The resources are containined within 11.29 Mt of ore at an average grade of 371 ppm U3O8 (at a 200 ppm cutoff). The Gambuta deposit is typical of a number of perigranitic, shale hosted uranium mineral occurrences within the Caceres VI licence. Uranium mineralization occurs within a sequence of strongly deformed Proterozoic spotted and banded grey to black phyllites which have been contact metamorphosed by Hercynian granites. The main mineralized horizon averages 9.4 m in thickness and occurs at an average depth of 18.0 m, beneath Tertiary cover and shales. A lower mineralized horizon averages 2.1 m in thickness and is separated from the main horizon by 16.3 m of shales. Drilling will resume at the end of the high risk fire season, which is anticipated to be early in October. June 6, 2008 Announced further drill results at the Gambuta project. Highlights include: hole GAM-005: 3.0 m @ 0.0218% U3O8 from 705 m and 22.2 m @ 0.0541% U3O8 from 13.8 m. April 10, 2008 Announced initial results of the first stage program of diamond and RC drilling at the Gambuta prospect in Cáceres province.Highlights include: hole GAM-002: 12.5 metres @ 0.0741% U3O8 from 0.0m and 4.0 metres @ 0.0997% U3O8 from 28.0m.
