Highlights of assays include 47.5m of 0.79%Cu and 0.14g/tAu (08SWC-327), 47.4m of 0.81%Cu and 0.28g/tAu (08SWC-338), and 68.8m of 0.65%Cu and 0.16g/tAu (08SWC-327). Drilling in Area 118 continues to confirm the continuity of this high grade zone of copper-gold mineralization, while hole 08SWC-384 (23.9m of 1.30% Cu) suggests the mineralization is still open to the northwest, where it was previously thought to be closed off.

Results of the 2007 work programs indicate the presence of a hydrothermally altered zone, centred on Cretaceous-aged intrusions cut by a complex system of faults, all of which are considered positive characteristics of intrusion-related gold deposits. Gold results have been received from a 12.2-metre section of quartz-arsenopyrite vein mineralization, which returned anomalous levels of gold (70 parts per billion gold over 1.2 metres).

Rimfire Minerals Corporation has reported exploration highlights from the ER-Ogo-Fire property in Alaska and has reaquired 70% interest in the California Surf property from Western Keltic Mines which terminated the JV. AngloGold initiated drill testing of a 1500 m by 300 m gold-arsenic-bismuth-antimony soil anomaly in June on the ER claims. Six diamond drill holes totaling 2161 m tested four widely-spaced areas within the soil anomaly. The drilling intersected widespread quartz-sericite-pyrite alteration enveloping multiple quartz-sulphide veins and vein breccias, some of which contain visible gold. A total of 24 intercepts of >1 g/t gold are reported with up to 3.9 m of 1.10 g/t Au in ER03-1 and high grade gold mineralization 0.2 m of 161.34 g/t Au in ER03-5. AngloGold will be completing further groundwork prior to the end of the field season.
