Ventana Gold Corp. announced the closing of the private placement with Silver Wheaton Corp. announced on May 17, 2010. The transaction is comprised of 1.8 million units at a price of $11.50 per unit for gross proceeds of Can$20.7 million. The net proceeds from the offering will be used to fund further exploration and development of its La Bodega and Cal-Vetas projects and general corporate purposes.
