The closing of the underground working was underway and the mill and related structures had been sold.
Mine operated at 1,300 t/d. Ore was processed at the time to produce a shipment grade flotation concentrate. Concentrates were shipped overseas to custom refineries. It was determined, in 1991, that onsite dor, production was not economically feasible. A flotation concentrate was produced and shipped to outside smelters.
A feasibility study in late 1990 of the B-B zone, containing 1,000,000 tons grading 0.131 oz/ton Au, indicated that open-pit mining was less profitable than selective underground mining and a study was being done re: autoclave recovery to produce dor, bullion.
