Latest Information March 31, 2007 The company continues to hold its 100% interest in its diamond exploration property rights in the property and is in the process of negotiation with the authorities in the CAR for final terms for conversion of these rights from their current status to higher level development and mining rights. December 31, 2006 The company acquired satellite and radar-sat for the first stage target generation. The final images from the resolution Ikonos satellite imagery covering the four properties was received in late September 2006. Final areas of interest have however now been defined using the Ikonos data and the company is in the process of signing a mining convention with the Ministry of Mines that will facilitate the conversion of rigths to full mining rights. August 31, 2005 A low-level airborne reconnaissance survey of all concession areas has been completed. From this survey, satellite imagery and existing field data, a programme has been developed to identify specific targets for in-field follow up early in 2006. This has encompassed the acquisition of new high-resolution satellite and radar satellite imagery on selected targets. After lifting the self-declared force majeure and having its rights to various diamond concessions re-confirmed by the relevant authorities, the company re-commenced limited prospecting activities in the CAR in May 2004. The total revised concession area of 4,137.8 km2 ws confirmed by Ministerial decree in June 2004. |
