GOLDCORP Inc. announced the results of a feasibility study update for the Company’s recently acquired Cerro Negro project in the Santa Cruz province of Argentina.
GOLDCORP and Andean Resources announced the approval of the Environmental Impact Assessment by the Santa Cruz province in Argentina for the development and production of the Cerro Negro gold project, a higher-grade world-class deposit located on the low-elevation Patagonian plains of southern Argentina. The permit enables Goldcorp to commence mine construction immediately following the transfer of ownership on December 30, 2010.
Andean Resources Limited announced the results for the quarter ended September 30, 2010. Highlights include; the Company paid approximately US$11 million in operating activities and approximately US$4 million in investing activities to continue the exploration and advance the Cerro Negro project in Argentina. The cash balance at September 30, 2010 was approximately US$259 million.
