Latest Information January 31, 2001 A total of 20 gem quality diamonds, for a total of 29.17 c (average weight of 1.45 c), were recovered from 47 cubic metres of gravel during the Contendas sampling program. Two stones were in excess of 5 c. The stones were appraised at values ranging from US$35.00/c to US$500/c, at an average value of US$243.00 per carat.  January 30, 2001 Dia Bras Exploration Ltd. has recovered diamonds from its sampling program on the Alto Paranaiba property in Brazil. A total of 20 gem quality diamonds were recovered, for a total weight of 29.17 carats, from 47 cubic metres of gravel. The average weight of the stones was 1.45 carats, and two were in excess of 5 carats. The stones were appraised at an average value of US$243.00 per carat. |
