Tanami Gold NL report Recent diamond drill results from the Coyote underground exploration programme continue to confirm the high grade nature of the South Zone mineralisation with independent assay results of the previously announced visible gold intersections returning down hole intervals of 0.3 metres @ 2,379g/t Au [hole CYUG1] and 0.4 metres @ 243.1g/t Au [hole CYUG13]. Visible gold has been logged in quartz veins at target zone depth from four recent holes (CYUG22, CYUG33, CYUG34 and CYUG36) testing strike and dip extensions of the Bommie vein system. Sampling and assaying is still in progress for eleven of the Bommie holes completed to date.
Tanami Gold NL report diamond drill results from the initial Coyote Gold Mine underground exploration program have confirmed the high grade nature of the Coyote mineralisation with independent assay results of the previously announced visible gold intersections returning down hole intervals of: 0.3 metres @ 184.0g/t Au [hole CYUG16]; 1.0 metres @ 42.4g/t Au [hole CYUG16]; and 0.3 metres @ 79.7g/t Au [hole CYUG17]. Assay results for the remaining diamond holes previously reported with visible gold are expected over the coming weeks. In addition to the drilling, a series of crosscuts have been developed from the 207 and 219 levels which have exposed the South Zone mineralisation for first time and resulted in a number of outstanding assays being returned including a 4 cm vein averaging 7050g/t Au. The company reports diamond drilling at the Coyote Gold Mine, in Western Australia, is progressing well with 15 holes having been completed for a total of 1602 metres drilled to date. The programme is designed to test additional down dip and down plunge extensions to previously identified mineralisation in the South Zone and Bommie Lode system, together with conceptual targets beneath the current level of drill coverage.
Tanami Gold reported for the quarter ended that the Coyote Gold Mine achieved record gold production of 12,821 ounces for the September 2009 Quarter at a cash cost of A$660 per ounce. This represents a 40% increase in gold production compared to the June 2009 Quarter. In addition, underground exploration program returned significant intersections including CYUG 16 with 1.3m at 44.2g/t Au including 0.3m at 184.0g/t Au, CYUG 16 returned 1.0m at 42.4g/t Au and CYUG 17 intersected 0.3m at 79.7g/t Au.
