Cerro Lindo

During 2011, Milpo obtained important goals, like 25% increase on treatment level on Cerro Lindo mining unit and where production was consolidated on 10,000 tpd since August, allowing to program workings for new extension to 15,000 tpd. On El Porvenir mining unit, new tugger hoist started operations on February 2011, allowing the start of workings for extension of the plant concentrator to 5,600 tpd.

Milpo announced an average increase of 20% in production for its polymetallic units, according to El Porvenir 1'712,188 DMT, Cerro Lindo 2'408,060 DMT, Atacocha 1'424,995 DMT. Along with this increase, is executed a serie of measures trending to automate and improve mining processes.

During 2009 8,077 m of diamond drilling were executed, resulting in a find of new resources, which cut mineral in a body located at the extension of sedimentary basin (OB7). In operation a total of 10,963 m in advances are executed, focused on preparation and development works with the aim of delimit stopes, which supply mineral to the process plant. On July, 2009 is increased treated tonnage at 6,700 tpd.In August the conversion of mill allows to increase treatment capacity to 7,100 tpd.
