Etruscan Resources has confirmed the presence of a significant gold anomaly by drilling on the Djelimagara Permit in Mali, West Africa. The anomaly has been traced for 2300m with values up to 11.6 g/t Au. Etruscan acquired the Djelimangara Permit in 2001 because of the strong similarities in the geologic setting and geochemical responses between Sadiola Gold Mine and Djelimangara. A 150 auger samples will be completed as part of the current program and RC drilling will be planned following these results.

Drilling at the Songori gold discovery returned mineralized intervals over tens of metres in multiple holes. Hole DSD007 intersected 36 m grading 3.01 g/t Au. Auger drilling extended the minimum strike length of the Songori target to 400 m and the potential strike length as defined by surface sampling was 1 km.

Regional surveys had been completed and demonstrated that the Samira horizon continued on to the Datambi permit and a 5 km long gold-bearing segment of the horizon was identified. The geochemical anomaly defined on the Datambi permit along the Songori plateau has the same geophysical and geological characteristics as the Samira gold deposit. Field crews have carried out detailed geophysical surveys and auger drilling to identify drill targets.
