Southern Uranium announced it has located new higher-grade iron outcrops that further advance the iron ore prospects of the company’s Jungle Dam project on the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia. Rock chip samples assay 55.5% to 59.6% iron from limited outcrops within 2km-long magnetic zone.
Southern Uranium announced preliminary assays for the Jungle Dam drilling completed on March 31, 2010 that confirm the potential for shallow and extensive iron ore mineralisation at Jungle Dam on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula. The Jungle Dam prospect is held 100% by Southern Uranium under tenement EL3479. Highlights include hole JDRC012 intersecting 16.0 m grading 40.9% Fe from surface including 8.0 m grading 40.9% Fe from 1.0 m.
Southern Uranium announced the completion of a nine-hole (710 m) reverse circulation percussion drilling program at Jungle Dam prospect held 100% under tenement EL3479 approximately 40 km north of Kimba on the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia. Visual assessment of new intersections confirms shallow haematite potential overlying magnetite iron formations within 3 km long Central Zone.
