Geological mapping has documented that massive sulphide mineralization at El Azufral sustains a maximum thickness of 12 m over 80 m of outcrop strike length. At El Arroyo up to 6 meters of mineralization was observed over 20 m of strike. Geophysical studies (TFM, TEM) suggested that each of these zones yielded in the range of 200 to 250 m of strike length continuity, and extend to depth. Two additional ENE striking, non-outcropping conductors were also geophysically indicated, and trenching at the El Azufral occurrence encountered narrower sulphide units parallel to the main outcropping body, suggesting the presence of multiple parallel sulphide bodies. Multi-elemental analyses indicated the metal chemistry of the El Azufral - El Arroyo mineral occurrences was Cu-dominant, with grades averaging in the 2 to 3% Cu range. Potential by-product concentrations of Ag, Au, and Zn were also present. Concentrations of deleterious metals including As, Sb, Hg, and Cd were low.
