February 8, 2011 SilverBirch Energy Corporation reported an increase to its contingent bitumen resource estimates following an independent review of the bitumen resources attributable to its major oil sands projects, the Frontier and Equinox Oil Sands Mining Projects in Alberta, Canada.
February 4, 2010 UTS Energy announced the contingent bitumen resource estimates following the results of an independent review of bitumen resources for its three major oil sands projects, Fort Hills, Frontier and Equinox, Alberta, Canada. At Fort Hills, the Best Contingent Bitumen Resources is estimated at 3,390 million of barrels, Equinox project has a Best Estimate Contingent Bitumen Resources of 330 million barrels and Frontier pproject has a Best Estimate Contingent Bitumen Resource of 1,450 million barrels.
February 5, 2009 UTS Energy today announced the addition of its Frontier Project to its contingent bitumen resource status following
the results of an independent review of bitumen resources for its three major oil sands projects. The three year exploration program has resulted in identifying two additional oil sands mining projects: the Equinox oil sands project and Frontier oil sands project, in both of which UTS holds a 50 per cent working interest and Teck holds the other 50 per cent. The Equinox Project holds 330 million barrels of contingent resource and the Frontier Project holds approximately 1.6 billion barrels of contingent resource.
