Property NewsNovember 9, 2009 Northern Shield Resources announced it has commenced a deep overburden sampling program at its 100% owned Faint Hope gold prospect located north of Cochrane, Ontario. A self-propelled auger drill has been mobilized to collect till samples from as deep in the overburden as is possible, ideally at the bedrock-overburden interface. The property, which is being explored for Homestake-style gold mineralization, consists of 6 contiguous claims. September 11, 2009 Northern Shield Resources announced the completion of a soil sampling survey over the Faint Hope property north of Cochrane, Ontario, which is being explored for Homestake-style gold mineralization. The property, which consists of 6 contiguous claims, covers what is interpreted from airborne geophysics to be an iron-formation intruded by a diorite or granite body that sits in the middle of a prominent, east-west regional fault zone. April 14, 2005 A recently completed DDH intersected numerous boulders containing disseminated and banded pyrite, pyrrhotite and magnetite within the overburden. The samples are to be sent for gold analysis. Also, based on airborne magnetic data, the company staked an area, approximately 7 km by 2 km, covering a possible source area for the boulders and have planned an airborne electromagnetic survey. The drill hole was terminated in bedrock at a depth of 152 m. No kimberlite was intersected.
