Exploration underway with field surveys in progress at Red Line and Goal Net properties and drilling to commence about July 9. The initial drill holes will be collared on the Red Line property located seven km east of the GP4F deposit. The horizontal loop electromagnetic (HLEM) ground and induced polarization surveys have delineated several conductors and chargeability anomalies to the north of a shallow conductor that was previously tested by several drill holes. These anomalies are interpreted to lie structurally and stratigraphically above the lower horizon that was drilled in 1996. Three of the holes intersected narrow intervals of massive sulphide mineralization on this lower horizon. The targets are interpreted to be hosted within quartz porphyry rhyolite strata similar to the rocks hosting the GP4F deposit. Geophysical and geochemical field surveys are in progress on the Goal Net property to evaluate the extension of the horizon hosting the semi-massive sulphide mineralization discovered in fall 2000. Additional geochemical sampling is in progress to evaluate the area along strike of the numerous zinc-lead-copper-silver-gold anomalies. HLEM surveys are under way surveying the areas of the geochemical targets. The GP4F Red Line-Goal Net mineralization defines a new lower horizon with potential for large massive sulphide deposits. The shallow angle of dip of the rhyolite strata would result in a deposit having a relatively large aerial extent, making exploration testing of the target areas easier. These exploration prospects provide an excellent opportunity for new discoveries in the Finlayson district. The sulphide mineralization discovered on the Red Line and Goal Net properties contains very low concentrations of selenium and could provide additional blending capacity for other ores in the district.

Expatriate Resources has announced that the exploration program on its Finlayson Lake project in the Yukon is underway. On its Red Line property, drilling will commence around July 9, targeting geophysical anomalies 7 km east of the GP4F deposit. Geophysical and geochemical field surveys are in progress on the Goal Net property to evaluate the extension of the horizon hosting the semi-massive sulphide mineralization discovered in fall 2000. Expatriate is progressing in its efforts to secure additional capital for the CDN$1 million payment due to Cominco Ltd. and for the resumption of exploration on the Kudz Ze Kayah property.

Expatriate has negotiated an extension for a CDN$1 million payment to Cominco, originally due on May 24, regarding its acquisition of the Kudz Ze Kayah and Wolverine projects. Expatriate now has until September 5 to make the payment plus an additional $100,000 and interest on the $1 million. Last month, Expatriate announced that Resource Capital would not complete a US$5 million development loan, the funds of which were to be used for the development of the properties, including the payment to Cominco. Expatriate is now seeking alternative financing arrangements. (Cominco Ltd)
