The Company conducted an helicopter supported heavy mineral sampling program. Fifty-four heavy mineral samples were taken as part of a reconnaissance program to evaluate the up-ice regional geology and a follow-up is scheduled for 2003.

The Fontages project is centered along major intracratonic deep structures in the vicinities of Hydro-Quebec LA-2 facilities and the Fontanges airstrip, James Bay, Quebec. Located 100 km north-northeast of the Otish diamond discoveries by Ashton-SOQUEM, it covers 308 square km.
