3 diamond drill holes were completed for 1,689m. Two holes were targeted to test the potential for stacked veins within the dyke over a vertical extent in excess of 200m below the old Victory mine workings. The holes intersected highly altered sediments and a zone of thin felsic dyke, as well as a thin quartz vein carrying free gold which was intersected down plunge of the old workings assayed 1m at 2.26 g/t gold. The third hole was designed to test a conceptual domal structure (O’Grady’s Dome) similar in style to the Magdala Dome at Stawell, and passed through 350m of cover rocks into iron stained sediments to a final depth of 561.4m without intersecting a sediment-basalt interface. Minor amounts of quartz veining were intersected. Assay results are awaited.

Drilling was in progress to test below the old Victory Gold Mine for deeper repetitions of a quartz ladder-vein system carrying the historical gold mineralisation. The drilling is part of a 2,000m program which will also test a prominent magnetic anomaly at O’Gradys Dome (previously called Fish Creek) for Stawell style gold mineralisation.

Permitting activities for a drilling program to test the potential at depth below the historic Victory gold mine were completed.
