In Apr/May/04, phase 1 of the exploration programme was carried out with the emphasis on establishing the extent and location of the mineralised core of the epithermal systems at surface on both properties by grid sampling and mapping. A large number of samples were collected and sent for analysis and results of sampling are yet to be received in full. Initial soil and rock chip samples have identi. ed several gold anomalies therefore con. rming the potential to discover epithermal-style gold mineralisation on the properties. Westgold is currently appraising these anomalies prior to establishing a follow up exploration program to further investigate these anomalies. |
