Peak Resources announced the completion of its first drill program for the 2010 field season at Imweru Gold Project, which forms part of the Geita West Project, Lake Victoria Goldfield Tanzania. Highlights include hole 7BH-2 intersecting 4.0 m averagind 17.90 g/t gold from 20.0 m.
Peak Resources reported December 2009 quarterly results. At Ngualla in Tanzania exploration results broadened the scope of the project to a phosphate,
rare earths, niobium, tantalum, titanium and base metals project while showing considerable potential for a major discovery. Three styles of mineralization have been identified. Firstly hard rock primary mineralization. Secondly, alluvial with one extensive +2000m x +500m area of alluvials and a second undefined alluvial zone. Thirdly, base metals, copper, lead, zinc with lesser molybdenum on the margins and copper mineralization within the carbonatite. At Imweru prospect, Geita property, Tanzania detailed sampling and geological mapping further refined the gold targets with two
parallel gold anomalous trends (+4000m) now being at a drill ready stage.
Peak Resources announced results from the company's Imweru (Geita West) project in Tanzania. Hole RAB—IRB0016 returned 20.1 g/t gold over 1 m within a zone averaging 7.09 g/t over 3 m from 16 m down hole.
