December 23, 2010 West Kirkland Mining announced the execution of an earn-in option agreement with Queenston Mining on the 239 hectare Goldbanks property located adjacent to Kirkland Lake Gold’s Macassa mine and mill complex in Canada.
September 11, 2008 An initial surface exploration program was initiated. Work completed to date includes; a compilation of historical work dating back to the 1930’s (including three shafts), a cut field grid, geological mapping and a high-resolution ground magnetic survey. Mechanized stripping, to be followed by detailed trench mapping and sampling, is scheduled to commence in September on several identified structures that parallel the gold camp’s prolific Main-’04 Break, that also transects the southernmost portion of the property.
June 25, 2008 The intent was to integrate all exploration data from the property into a GIS-based compilation and then design an exploration program for the 2008 field season which will include field grid work, geological mapping & prospecting, ground geophysics, soil geochemistry, mechanized trenching and a subsequent diamond drill program.
