August 17, 2011 Afri-Can Marine Minerals Corporation and Deep-South Mining announced that Teck Cominco Namibia Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Teck Resources Limited, has informed Deep-South that it has incurred the required exploration expenditures and payments and has exercised its option to earn a 70%
undivided interest in the Haib copper project in Namibia.
November 29, 2010 Afri-Can Marine Minerals Corporation announced assay results from the recently completed nine-hole drilling program totaling 5,000 metres carried out by Teck Namibia Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Teck Resources Limited, on the Haib copper project. Highlights include 0.370% copper over 234 metres in hole TCDH-06.
August 21, 2008 Afri-Can Marine Minerals and Deep South Mining (PTY) Ltd. announce that the option and joint venture agreement with Teck Cominco Namibia Ltd. (previously announced on July 2, 2008), has been approved by the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Namibia. The Agreement is effective on July 28, 2008. The Haib Copper Project in southern Namibia is comprised of one prospecting license held by Deep South. Afri-Can has terminated its pre-existing option with Deep South in consideration of certain payments under this Agreement. A National Instrument 43-101, filed
