Future exploration plans included line-cutting, IP surveying and surface stripping/trenching and channel sampling along the west-southwesterly strike of the felsic tuff stratigraphy. Future exploration plans included line-cutting, IP surveying and surface stripping/trenching and channel sampling along the west-southwesterly strike of the felsic tuff stratigraphy. March 31, 2001 2,016 m of drilling was completed in 10 holes. Assays from five holes were announced. Only one hole intersected significant mineralization, returning 1,174 ppm Zn over 12.9 m, including 7,046 ppm Zn, 3,791 ppm Cu and 18.9 ppm Ag over 0.4 m. The other four holes intersected intense hydrothermal alteration and associated pyrite mineralization, but assays were sub-economic. Assays were pending from the remaining holes. Additional geophisics, trenching and stripping was planned. |
