Pengrowth reported that heavy oil production increased 11 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2007 and decreased slightly in the fourth quarter of 2008 compared to the third quarter of 2008. The additional volumes are the result of successful development activity primarily at Tangleflags and increased productivity of existing wells in East Bodo from success with the polymer flood. These additional volumes were partially offset by natural declines.
November 5, 2008
Reported that heavy oil production for the September quarter was 8,287 bbls/d. Heavy oil production remained relatively stable in the third quarter of 2008 compared to the second quarter of 2008 and increased 15 percent compared to the third quarter of 2007. Additional volumes came from development activity primarily at the Tangleflags property and the success of the polymer flood that increased productivity of existing wells in East Bodo. These additional volumes were partially offset by production declines.
September 16, 2008
Reported that the 2008 development activities at Jenner will include the drilling of several horizontal and vertical wells, in addition to various water handling improvements and production optimization. At Bodo ongoing surveillance of both the waterflood and polymer flood will continue, and optimization of the flood will be evaluated and executed in 2008.
