Icelandic Gold's recent deal with an agency of the Moroccan government (BRPM) for the Zgounder silver mine highlights the silver wealth of Morocco. Morocco has a history of silver mining stretching back more than a millennium. Morocco also hosts the Imiter silver mine; the largest silver mine in Africa and one of the 10 largest and richest silver mines in the world.
