Cameco announced it has signed a memorandum of agreement with its 60:40 JV partner, Kazatomprom (the Kazakhstan government owned national atomic company), to increase annual uranium production at the Inkai in-situ recovery uranium mine and processing plant located in central Kazakhstan from 3.9 million pounds to 5.2 million pounds.

Reported the test mine at block 2 produced about 0.2 million pounds of U3O8. At block 1, commissioning of the processing facility continues and we are recovering uranium.
During the third quarter of 2007, reported a fire at one acid plant in Kazakhstan and a delay in the startup of a new plant has limited the availability of acid required for mining. Inkai and other ISR operations in Kazakhstan are receiving acid allotments.

Announced that the company signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) with
National Atomic Company Kazatomprom to co-operate on the development of uranium conversion capacity and to pursue additional uranium production. Kazatomprom is owned by the Kazakh government.
