Latest Information July 18, 2000 Solitaire Minerals Corp. has entered into an agreement to acquire 78 units in five claims in McWilliams and Gibbons townships, for a total of 3,120 acres in the River Valley area, east of Sudbury, Ontario. The properties were acquired to cover discrete ultramafic bodies, which are presumably genetically related to the River Valley intrusive complex. The company's properties, located in Scadding, Davis, Kelly, McNish, Rathbun, McWilliams and Gibbons townships comprise over 20,000 acres, making Solitaire one of the largest property holders in this region. June 30, 2000 Mapping, prospecting and sampling of gabbroic rocks, and contact zones associated with the Nipissing Diabase intrusive suite was planned. Three types of known mineralization will be targeted. The first is disseminated and blebby sulphide in the lower stratigraphic portions of the Nipissing Diabase gabbroic intrusions. The second is net-textures and blebby sulphide mineralization associated with contact zones of the Nipissing Gabbro. The third is hydrothermal Cu-Ni-PGE sulphides. In June 2000, a 9.35 km I.P. (Induced Polarization) survey was completed over the property in order to ascertain regional mineralisation trends and several targets were outlined. Induced polarization surveys were carried out in March 2001 and prospecting will be carried out later in 2001. During 1998 and 1999, carried out prospecting, trenching and sampling were carried out. The main showing was cleared and sampled and highlights of this sampling program included: 13.34 m of 4.36 g/t combined Pd-Pt-Au (Trench 1); 0.52 m of 49.7 g/t (Trench 4); 2.8 m of 23.6 g/t, including 0.4 m of 102.4 g/t (Trench 4). Regional prospecting resulted in the discovery of a new copper-nickel-PGM sulphide showing approximately 500 m east and along strike of the main showing. In 1991, the potential for PGM mineralisation at Kelly Township Property was first publicly identified in a report published in a regional study by the Ontario Geological Survey. In 1969-70, work included airborne and ground geophysics (Mag/EM), geological mapping, trenching and diamond drilling. Copper and nickel assays were reported. No PGM values were reported.
