WestCan Uranium announced that the company plans to revisit Rare Earth Elements on Key Lake property located in Saskatchewan, Canada. A 10.7 metre section was sampled and gave an average of 0.076% ThO2, with individual samples carrying up to 1.03% ThO2 across 0.05 metres. The thorium is accompanied by rare earth elements, with an average of 0.52% total rare earth elements (TREE) over the 10.7 metre interval.

Final analytical results on core samples from diamond drill hole KEY005 were received. A 17.5 metre section of anomalous radioactivity was determined to have been caused by thorium. A 10.7 metre section was sampled and gave an average of 0.076% ThO2, with individual samples carrying up to 1.03% ThO2 across 0.05 metres. The thorium is accompanied by rare earth elements, with an average of 0.52% total rare earth elements (TREE) over the 10.7 metre interval. Additional sampling of the drill core to establish the full width of the mineralized zone is planned.

A report detailing the results of the three hole, 549 metre drill program on the property, which was completed between Jan 21 and Feb 11, 2007, was received. The program focused on testing the source and significance of a short 700 meter long electromagnetic conductor identified in 2006 Geotech VTEM survey.
