Latest Information August 30, 2004 Erdene Gold has released exploration drill results from the Blue Springs property located in Mongolia. The drill program consisted of 10 holes totaling 760 m testing the North, South and Central zones. Drilling was successful in intersecting high-grade gold-copper mineralization below the North zone and the new Central zone. Drilling in the South zone was hindered by steep terrain and terminated in the diabase intrusive. Hole KBD-04 intersected 3 m averaging 6.29 g/t Au and 1.14% Cu. The Central zone was tested by three holes. North zone drilling included Hole KBD-01, which intersected the downdip extension of the surface gold-copper skarn mineralization observed in trenches in the North zone. A 3 m drill section in Hole KBD-01 averaged 25.2 g/t Au and 1.55% Cu. Also, mapping has located a new area of mineralization located 1.5 km north of the North zone. A composite grab sample returned 10.1 g/t Au and 1.5% Cu and another taken 60 m away assayed 2.76 g/t Au and 1,760 ppm Cu. This occurrence has not been drill tested to date. August 30, 2004 Released results of the drill program. The drill program consisted of 10 holes totalling 760 metres testing: the North zone (three holes); untested geophysical anomalies (three holes); the South zone, located 900 metres south of the North zone (one hole); as well as the recently discovered Central zone (three holes). Holes were drilled at between minus 55 and minus 80 degrees to depths which ranged between 50 m to 116 m. Drilling was successful in intersecting high-grade gold-copper mineralization below the North zone and the new Central zone. Drilling in the South zone was hindered by steep terrain and terminated in the diabase intrusive. A three-metre drill section averaged 25.2 g/t Au and 1.55% Cu. KBD-04 was drilled to test the downdip extent of gold-copper skarn mineralization at surface and intersected 3 m averaging 6.29 g/t Au and 1.14% Cu. KBD-10 was drilled to test gold-copper skarn mineralization in the South zone but was abandoned after failing to penetrate the diabase dike in an area of steep terrain restricting additional drill setup. The Central zone was tested by three holes. North zone drilling included KBD-01, which intersected the downdip extension of the surface gold-copper skarn mineralization observed in trenches in the North zone. Mapping has located a new area of mineralization located 1.5 km north of the North zone.
