Nex Metals Explorations announced the recent mineral resource estimate previously announced on 4 Nov 2009 has prompted its directors to reassess the Kookynie Gold Project, Western Australia, in terms of a bulk tonnage low grade Heap Leach operation. A plan whereby gold production may be robustly and inexpensively expanded to 100,000 ounces of gold per annum, in addition to the 15,000 ounce Phase 1 dump leach, has been developed. This plan is now in the Comprehensive Feasibility Study (CFS) stage.
Nex Metals Explorations announced that the JORC compliant Resource Estimates on Phase 2 of the Nex Metals wholly owned Kookynie Gold project, Western Australia, has been completed. The Resource (Indicated+Infferd) totals 12.30 million tonnes grading 1.1 g/t gold for 432,000 ounces of gold at a cut-off grade of 0.5 g/t.
Nex Metals Exploration announced that the company has purchased an additional 4 Mining Leases and 8 Prospecting Leases in the Kookynie goldfield, Western Australia.
