An auger drilling program was completed. Holes returned up to 0.5 g/t over 16 metres, with highs of 1.2 - 8 g/t. The assays suggest possible extension of the known gold mineralization of the Bandio and Boubene zones over a minimum of 1300 metres and 400 metres respectively. Other work included limited sampling and compilation.

Exploration conducted on the property included two phases of percussion drilling, 652 holes in the first phase and 1,251 holes in the second phase. Numerous trenching programs have also been conducted. A total of 45 core drill holes have been completed on 7 zones. Ground magnetic and IP surveys have been conducted on some zones. In 1990, an airborne magnetic survey was flown by Geoterrex at a 250 meter line spacing. This survey clearly defined the northeast trending Kooum-Arigana Fault that hosts six of the occurrences on the Koulbaga Permit as well as the Etruscan-Koma Bangou Quartz Tourmaline zone.
