Property NewsDecember 5, 2007 Announced the discovery of the Långvattnet uranium prospect. In outcrop area, mineralization is associated with an east-west trending fluorite bearing fracture zone, developed in fine grained foliated granite. The fracture zone has a maximum width of 3 metres and a strike in outcrop of 70 metres. One of the radiometric outcrops has been sampled, which returned a value of 0.26% U3O8. November 30, 2006 Reported that one and half km east of the pits sampled by SGU, drilling discovered an albitized schist hosting an irregular uranium horizon averaging 0.054% uranium oxide.
Three short drillholes were completed at Åsnebogruvan by the SGU in 1980, testing a 70m x 35m area. Metasediments of the Dal-group were intersected, and thin iron oxide breccias within quartzites were encountered in two of the holes. Only one hole was sampled and returned 3.3 metres for 30.2% iron oxide and 0.08% tungsten.
The area was also explored for stratabound uranium mineralization in 1970 by the SGU.
