United Carina Resources has reported results from a drill program on Laonil Lake property, Saskatchewan. Elevated gold values were returned with a best result of 12.67 g/t Au over a 0.80m from DDH PL05-7. The mineralized intersections and assay results are consistent with those from previous drilling programs. Shear structures with quartz veins and associated sulfides were encountered in three of the four holes with variable down-hole intervals from 0.5 to 5m. Four to six more holes are recommended to test the down dip extension and along strike extension of these shear structures and mineralization.

The company completed reconnaissance drilling. Drilling since Jan/04 has identified three new zones of gold mineralization at the property. These included the two new zones of mineralization outlined in the JML press release of March 4, 2004 and the newly discovered 16 Zone. A followup program on the 16 Zone and other priority targets is scheduled to commence mid-May after spring breakup. Hole JS04-16 was centered on a 250 m long, previously untested induced polarization anomaly located west of the Central Zone. The hole encountered 3.13 g/t Au over 14.0 m from 160-174 m. Two higher grade intervals were reported from within this intersection including 3.0 m of 6.75 g/t Au at 171m.
