Detailed heavy mineral sampling was carried out to identify potential sources of anomalies generated during previous reconnaissance sampling. Based on results of this sampling program, together with prior years’ exploration work, the Company has determined that the kimberlite source bodies have very low economic potential and has notified the Gabon government that Motapa will allow the Lebiri and Libiyou diamond exploration permits to expire in December, 2007.

Reported that final results from Phase 6 exploration work carried out during the main dry season of 2006 were received and confirmed the presence of kimberlite or related rocks in Helimag Block 2.

Field sampling work commenced in early March and is focused on locating the source of both high-abundance and high-interest (in other words, diamond-inclusion type) chromite anomalies in the south-central part of the Lebiri permit area.
