Giralia Resources NL reported report another major increase to the JORC reported Mineral Resource at McPhee Creek main range iron ore discovery, located within Pilbara region of Western Australia. The new Indicated and Inferred Mineral Resource consists of 260 million tonnes at 56.2% iron.
Giralia Resources announced the results of a scoping study conducted on the McPhee Creek deposit, Western Australia. The outcome of the study indicated a base case of start-up 2 Mtpa owner-operated mining and public road haul to Port Hedland. The study showed superior returns for models using road and rail combinations, including the Goldsworthy line, located 100 km north of McPhee Creek.
Giralia Resources NL reported initial results from the first reverse circulation drill holes testing the McPhee West prospect, located less than 1 km southwest of the McPhee Creek in the North Pilbara region of Western Australia. Highlights include hole RCMC412 which returned 100 m at 56.7% iron, 0.03% phosphorous. Data for a further 103 holes has been delivered to resource consultants and an updated resource estimate is anticipated in the next few weeks.
